THE ROGUE

The Sisters of the Sightless Eye are a loosely organized guild shrouded in mystery amongst the peoples of the West. These highly-skilled archers emply ancient Eastern philosophies to develop an "inner-sight" that they use both in combat and to circumvent dangerous traps that they may encounter. Known only as Wandering Rogues in the west, the Sisters conceal their secret affiliation by posing as simple travellers. Many pompous fools have made the mistake of underestimating these steel-nerved women in combat and paid a terrible price for their vanity. 

The strange events transpiring in Khanduras have caught the attention of many of these Rogues. They have come from as far as the Eastern dunes to test their skills against the dark evil that is said to be lurking in Tristram. It is also believed that untold riches wait to be discovered among the ruins of the Horadrim monastery.

The Rogue, long the abandoned wasteland of role-playing games, stakes out new territory in Diablo. Unless one has hoisted the bow, one will never suspect the truly devastating impact it can have when properly wielded, and the Rogue has the potential to fully exploit its merciless nature. 

THE ROGUEThe Rogue's "sixth sense" allows her to perceive and disarm traps before they spring. As the Warrior strives to maximize his Vitality, and the Sorcerer his Magic, the Rogue should concentrate a little on Dexterity, as this affects her use of the bow. But she should also give ample attention to her Strength and Vitality, as she would keep her distance from the more powerful monsters until she's bolstered her Hit Points and found some decent armor. 

Consequently, the Rogue may want to use Magic almost in lieu of hand-to-hand combat, since she already has a ranged attack. Since she doesn't enjoy the Warrior's ability to use stronger armor due to her lesser Strength, The Rogue should have a back-up plan if ever an enemy gets too close for bow range. Although a Rogue can also use the sword and shield, she should endeavor to be a devastating bow-woman, at the expense of everything else. She should crank up the Dexterity, and save the gold. Because bows deteriorate quickly, she should have the dope to repair her bows, or purchase better ones in town.

This skill simply disarms traps before they are sprung. Trapped chests, barrels, doors, etc, are seen in red text.
