Tagalog Word of the Day: KINDAT

Kindat means wink , to close and open one or both eyes quickly (as a noun or verb).

Word Usage:

Isang kindat ka lang, aking irog!
(All it takes is one wink, my darling!)
or (You’re a wink away, my beloved!)
or even (You’re so easy that all it takes is one wink from me and you will be rendered powerless before my manly guile, you wench!)

Ako ay nasilam dahil sa aking pagkindat habang may sabon sa aking mata.
(I was stung because of my winking while there was soap in my eyes.)
or (I was temporarily blinded because I winked while there were suds in my eyes.)
or even (I was so stupid that I winked like an idiot while there was a ridiculous amount of that damn soap in my fuckin’ eyes…)

Marahas na kumindat ang duling na lalaki habang binobosohan niya ang kanyang naliligong kapitbahay.
(The cross-eyed man aggresively winked as he peeped at his bathing neighbor.)
or (Brutal winks emanated from the cross-eyed man who was stealing a peek at his wet neighbor.)
or even (Ferocious winks mark the onset of disaster as the vile human with an eye defect stealthily gazed upon the smooth, drenched, naked body of his unsuspecting neighbor.  Someone call the police…)
